LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A multi-vehicle crash on I-15 has shut down traffic near the California state line Friday morning.
Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a crash at 12:16 a.m. involving three vehicles, and during the investigation, a second crash happened at 12:36 a.m.
The second crash was a hit-and-run involving a Clark County Fire and Rescue ambulance, a CCFD fire truck, and a Chevrolet Malibu on the scene, according to NHP.
Five people were taken from this secondary crash to area hospitals.
I-15 southbound is still closed due to a large diesel spill over the highway from the fire truck that was hit.
The hit-and-run vehicle is still outstanding, according to authorities.
