The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has confirmed with Channel 13 that the incident near Decatur Boulevard at Pennwood Avenue involved a shooting.
According to Metro, a female with a gunshot wound to the leg was found and taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said they captured the suspect involved, and assure the community that there is no threat to the public at this time.
Traffic cameras still show police presence and blocked roadways. Avoid the area, and use alternate routes.
