It was a tough night for the UNLV Runnin' Rebels at the Thomas & Mack Center. They just couldn't get the job done against Fresno State.
UNLV was riding the momentum of a first round win in the Mountain West Conference tournament, but the Bulldogs were too much for them to handle.
The first half of the basketball game was close, but Fresno eventually pulled away and won 95 to 82.
The Rebels are now playing the waiting game.
A berth in the NCAA tournament is unlikely, but they could be in the running for a chance to go to the NIT tournament.
Pairings for that tournament will be announced on Sunday.
