The Oakland Raiders just took another huge step towards a Lombardi Trophy today with the acquisition of Marshawn Lynch.

The Raiders have confirmed the acquisition of Marshawn Lynch from the Seattle Seahawks. The trade send Marshawn Lynch and a 6th-round draft pick to the Raiders for thier 5th-round draft pick in the upcoming draft.

Raiders' QB Derek Car shared his thoughts on possibly acquiring Lynch.

"He's one heck of a football player, and I hope to play with him. ... Of course, anyone would want Marshawn Lynch, any quarterback in the NFL," Carr said last week. "As we add pieces, we'll hug them up and bring them in just as a family and treat them the same way that we do with all of our other teammates."

Lynch's presence would give Oakland the physical presence that is needed to play into January and February. If the teams hope to challenge the Patriots and the Steelers in the playoffs, "Beast Mode" will be a huge key to their success.

The year deal also means that Lynch is not guaranteed to be a member of the Las Vegas Raiders when they relocate, but I'm sure Vegas fans will appreciate his contribution if he manages to bring a title to the team while he's there.
