LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Vegas Golden Knights have announced the temporary closure of Chance's Kid Zone, where players routinely sign items for children, at City National Arena.

This change is in response to concerns over the novel coronavirus. There are no other restrictions at this time.

VGK also said in an email that they will continue to actively monitor the situation while following recommendations and guidance from the CDC and NHL.

They have recently increased the number of daily cleanings at City National Arena and placed a heightened emphasis on shared surfaces as precautionary measures.

They are advising their fans, program participants and staff to employ the same precautions they do during cold and flu season and encouraging them to stay home if they feel sick and frequently wash hands thoroughly as they would do to avoid any communicable illness.

Additionally, the hockey team is temporarily limiting locker room access to players and essential staff.
