LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — For Vegas Golden Knights superfans - Makenna and Kyle Gott - there's no better place to watch playoff hockey than home.

"Vegas is definitely the best that we've ever been too," the couple told 13 Action News.

And the Gott's have been to a lot of places.

Over the past five months, the superfans embarked on an epic VGK road trip - as a way to celebrate Kyle's six years in the Air Force.

The two zigzagged across the county; the couple took in away games everywhere they could.

"We went to one in Chicago, two in New York, one in New Jersey, Columbus, Texas, and Colorado," Makenna said.

Seven games across six states - the Gotts watched the team win and lose and go to overtime twice.

"Of all the arenas, we'd say the Rangers had the best fan section compared to Vegas, but it still wasn't even close," Kyle said.

After all, there's no place like home, and for VGK fans, there's no place like the Fortress.

"We went to a Golden Knights game the day we came back. And it felt so good to be home. It was cool to see Golden Knights fans at away games as well, and I didn't expect the amount of Knights fans that would be at away games but then being back home with everybody is just unexplainable. It's awesome," Makenna said.
