LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The deadline is approaching for small business owners looking for grant money in Clark County.
The deadline to apply for the Small Business Stabilization grant is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday.
The Small Business Stabilization grant awards up to $5,000 or $10,000, which doesn’t need to be repaid. The grant money can be used to cover rent or other general expenses like utilities or inventory.
To qualify, the business must be located in unincorporated Clark County and have fewer than 20 employees.
The county says it determines who receives the funds based on the number of relief funds already received, length of time in business, and whether it is a disadvantaged business.
Priority will be given to businesses that have received less than $25,000 in federal, state, or local COVID related grant or loan dollars.
All applications must be submitted through an online portal. If it’s delivered any other way it will not be processed. Business owners will learn if they’re approved via email.
