LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Two times the celebrations!
A World War II era Marine marked her 99th birthday yesterday, the same day the US Marine Corps marked their 245th!
Mary Del Vecchio was invited to celebrate the big day at the VA of Southern Nevada Healthcare System.
She says she's glad she's had the chance to experience so much.
Del Vecchio enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1943 and served as one of the first members of the Women Marines Reserve until the end of the war in 1945.
