County commissioners and crime victims’ rights advocates will come together to turn the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign purple at 9 a.m. April 12, in support of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
The officials will turn on purple light bulbs installed on the world-famous Welcome sign during a brief ceremony there.
The sign is on Las Vegas Boulevard just south of Russell Road. The light bulbs, which are usually yellow, surround the border of the sign.
