Restaurant Hospitality Institute (RHI) will resume offering personalized wine, spirits, beer and sake classes for private groups, and resume their Server Training Course beginning Aug. 24.

Newly updated for the COVID-19 environment, the RHI Server Training Course is a five-session program providing students with the technical and customer service skills essential to be a successful asset to restaurants at all levels. Over a five week period, students will partake in lecture sessions and participate in live role-playing situations that will prepare them for the intense atmosphere of today’s top restaurant operations.

“Best Practices” techniques of applied service skills combined with a working knowledge of wine, spirits & cuisine; revenue-generating skills; and local health department requirements will be emphasized.

Career introductions, interview coaching and resume building are also included. In light of social distancing requirements, class registration will be limited.

RHI has also added new dates available for their Wine and Spirits Immersion classes. These classes are a great way for new wine or spirits lovers to demystify their favorite beverage with a Court of Master Sommeliers-certified instructor.

Points covered include: How to read a label; how to taste and assess wine or spirits like a professional; wine varietals and great food pairings for each; sommelier and bar terminology; proper service; and finally an extensive tasting is included. New for the COVID-19 environment, sessions for two to six persons may be held either at our classroom or your private secure location.

These classes are available via Trip Advisor and Air B&B as well as direct booking with RHI. Sake and beer sessions are also available upon request.
