LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — For the second straight year, the Vegas Golden Knights teamed up with Walker Furniture on Sunday to provide Las Vegas valley kids with new beds.

Families had a fun-filled day at City National Arena where they got to meet Chance, the team's Gila monster mascot, skate, and eat lunch.

Linda Alterwitz-Mizrahi, an owner of Walker Furniture, says she knows how important a good night's sleep is and hopes the beds make a big difference in the lives of these kids.

"It's our responsibility to help our community," she said. "We've been in Las Vegas for 66 years. we're ingrained in this community."

"We're indebted to our community and we're part of our community," Alterwitz-Mizrahi added. "It feels great."

18 families were selected to be recipients at this years Beds for Kids event.
