Valley High School debuted its new program this school year – Military Science, Technology and Emergency Management (MSTEM).
The program, which incorporates Junior ROTC standards and Community Emergency Response Training with an emphasis on technology and scientific data collection, is the only one of its kind in the district.
Assistant Principal Ramona Fricker said she wanted to “create a program for students who have a strong desire to serve their community, self and others; strong leadership qualities; and for Valley to have a place for its JROTC students to excel.”
