The Moody Blues, AEG Live, and The Venetian Las Vegas hosted a special educational event for students from JD Smith Middle School on Oct. 12.

As part of the "Jobs in Music" event, the students were given a backstage tour inside The Venetian Theatre by specialists in sound and lighting, box office management, and operations, who talked about the wide-range of jobs that go into creating a live music show.

AEG Live Senior Vice President John Nelson also answered questions about jobs in production and promotion, including booking, marketing, artist management, and more.

Students met with other Moody Blues tour staff, including the tour director, the production coordinator, and head guitar technician, who shared their stories about breaking into the music industry. Justin Hayward, John Lodge, and Graeme Edge from The Moody Blues also appeared on stage for a Q&A session.

Donations to benefit Communities In Schools are encouraged at all performances of The Moody Blues: Nights in Las Vegas at The Venetian. The show features an exclusive set list that pays tribute to the band's decades-long career.
