TeamHealth awarded Miracle Flights with a $25,000 donation on Tuesday.
Displays at TeamHealth's booth at the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) conference in Oct. acquainted visitors with the work of five charity finalists. Attendees were encouraged to vote for their favorite, ultimately selecting Miracle Flights to receive the donation.
Miracle Flights provides free commercial airline tickets to patients in need of critical care at the cost of 78 cents per mile. The CEO of Miracle Flights, Mark E. Brown, says that the donation translates to more than 32,000 air miles.
TeamHealth provides outsourced hospital-based clinical and administrative services nationwide.
