The annual St. Baldrick's Charity Event returned for its sixth year to take over Rí Rá Las Vegas on March 4.

Guests were invited to join Rí Rá in raising money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, an organization working to end childhood cancer.

Event participants had multiple opportunities to support St. Baldrick's, including head shaving, dining from a special menu that gives 20 percent of the proceeds to the foundation and making donations at the event that enters guests into raffles and giveaways.

Almost 2 dozen people went under the buzzer at Ri Ra and they raised more than $8,000 for the organization.

McMullan's Irish Pub also hosted a head-shaving event. It will begin at 10:30 a.m. More than 400 people were registered to have their heads shaved and they raised more than $400,000.

There will be another event on March 11 on the Brooklyn Bridge outside New York-New York on the Las Vegas Strip. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
