Restaurant Hospitality Institute will partner with the Plaza Hotel & Casino to offer free Alcohol Awareness classes to 100 hospitality workers in January, RHI Founder Mark Steele announced today.

The classes will be given away via social media starting today at @Rhospitalityinstitute on Instagram and @rhinstitute on Facebook.

An Alcohol Awareness Card is required for anyone who works as a hospitality professional (servers, bartenders, etc.) or security guard where alcoholic beverages are served or sold.

This also includes cashiers or stockers who may verify identifications to handle and sell alcohol.

“We are very aware of how hard hit many have been by the pandemic and quarantine here in Las Vegas,” says Steele. “We just wanted to do something to help people reentering the hospitality workforce.”

“We are proud to partner with RHI to offer these classes to assist our local hospitality workers,” said Jonathan Jossel, CEO of the Plaza Hotel & Casino. “Hospitality is the foundation of Las Vegas. As a destination, we all are working together to help the industry rebound, and we want to do whatever we can to support our dedicated hospitality employees.”
