A new segment of "The City of Las Vegas, the Early Years" documentary will premiere at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 15.

The premiere date was chosen in honor of Las Vegas being founded in 1905 on the same day.

The documentary was commissioned by the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial, and focuses on the early history of our city. Part 1 of the documentary was released last May and focused on the founding and first 20 years of the community.

Part 2 of the documentary will focus on the 1920s of Las Vegas.

“The City of Las Vegas, The Early Years Part 2” will be shown on KCLV Channel 2 on Cox Cable and CenturyLink, in addition to being streamed via kclv.tv/live, the city’s Facebook and Twitter pages, the GoVegas app and on the Roku, Amazon Fire and Apple TV platforms.
