A mortgage-free home in Henderson is being given away to a deserving military member or former military member.
Operation Homefront is looking for a new owner. The home has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is located ina 55+ community.
One adult in the home must be 55 or older and the other adult must be at least 45. No one under the age of 19 is allowed to live in the home.
Operation Homefront created the HOTH program with the assistance of corporate partners to award mortgage-free homes to our nation’s veterans and military families. The program offers military families the foundation for long-term stability and resiliency. More than 650 military families have entered the program and since 2012, Operation Homefront has deeded over 550 homes to military families, at a value of nearly $80 million in home equity.
All active-duty military, National Guard, Reservists, wounded warriors, and veterans, who aren’t already homeowners, have an honorable discharge or retirement, and none of the adults that will be residing in the home have a felony on their record, are eligible to apply for these homes.
