October Breast Cancer Awareness Month Events in Las Vegas

Battle of the Bras
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas resorts host the seventh annual “Battle of the Bras” fashion show to support American Cancer Society. Teams of Caesars Entertainment employees from the Las Vegas region embrace this year’s “Go for the Gold” theme by decorating bras and selecting costumes for their property or corporate leaders to model down a catwalk in front of cheering fans. After the models have walked the runway, this fun competition for a cause concludes with a public auction for the bras decorated by Caesars Entertainment’s employees, celebrity chefs and entertainers, including Planet Hollywood headliner Lionel Richie. Admission is free to the public, but a monetary donation to American Cancer Society is encouraged. Oct. 20 5-7:30 p.m. The Second Floor Mezzanine at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
 
This October, Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge has partnered up with Susan G. Komen Southern Nevada for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month to bring you Real Men Drink Pink ($19). A themed rosé flight stacked with pinks including Triennes Rosé, Vins de Provence; Whispering Angel, Côtes de Provence and the Francis Ford Coppola "Sofia" Rosé, Central Coast with a portion of the proceeds going to the cause. 
 
For the sixth year in a row, Station Casinos will host “Project Pink,” a company-wide initiative to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer. Proceeds raised throughout October will benefit the Southern Nevada affiliate of Susan G. Komen® and American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” campaign in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 
Project Pink will feature:
 
“Pink Pastries” at the Grand Cafes and Café Fiesta: A variety of exclusively created desserts such as strawberry shortcake, peanut brittle, pink and white cookies, chocolate covered pretzels and white chocolate glittered popcorn, to name a few, will be available at all café locations. The pink pastries range in price beginning at $1.99 per item on up.
 
Round Up for Project Pink: Guests dining at any Station Casinos-owned restaurant (cafes, steakhouses, buffets, oyster bars and Italian and Mexican outlets) as well as at any hotel check-in are welcome to round up their bill for Project Pink
 
“Meals for a Cause” served at Mexican Restaurants: $1 from every order of traditional fajitas with pink flour tortillas (chicken, steak and shrimp) and pink sopapillas will be donated. Additionally, complimentary tortilla chips and salsa with pink chips will be served to all guests. Restaurant locations include Cabo inside Boulder Station, Santa Fe Station and Sunset Station; Garduños inside Fiesta Rancho; and Amigo’s inside Fiesta Henderson.
 
Hotel Gift Shop merchandise: Pink-ribbon retail items including t-shirts, hats and water bottles will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds being donated.
 
Gift Cards:  Pink-packaged gift cards are available for purchase inside any hotel gift shop with 5-percent of the gift card value being donated.
 
Poker Goes Pink: Properties that offer poker will have a designated “pink” table Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25 with a portion of the rake being donated back to the local charities. Table felts were generously donated by gaming partner GPI.
 
Bounty Poker Tournaments will be hosted on various Sundays at Green Valley Ranch Resort (October 11), Santa Fe Station (October 18) and Red Rock Resort (October 24) with a $75 buy-in of which $25 from each entry will be donated.
 
21 for the Cure:  Properties that offer blackjack tables will have a designated “pink” table Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25 with a portion of the winnings being donated back to the local charities. Table felts were generously donated by gaming partner GPI.
 
Commemorative Pink Boarding Pass Card: Guests may purchase a commemorative Project Pink Boarding Pass loyalty card for $1 at the Rewards Center to benefit the charities.
 
Bingo Pink Packs: Special bingo pink packs will be offered at every Sunday bingo session in October for $4. Pink packs will be available in both paper and electronic and all proceeds will go to the cause. The $1 Cash Ball validation fee is not included in the purchase price of the pink packs. Bingo pink packs were generously donated by gaming partner Fortunet.
 
Spa For A Cause: The Spas at Green Valley Ranch Resort (GVR) and Red Rock Resort will offer special pink-themed treatments, including the 50-minute “Pink with a Purpose” facial and “Pinking about You” pedicure at the Spa at GVR and the 80-minute “Scrub Yourself in Pink” body treatment at The Spa at Red Rock. 20-percent of the proceeds from these treatments will be donated.
 
Cowboys and Cowgirls for the Cure at Revolver Saloon and Dance Hall inside Santa Fe Station: Every Wednesday night in October, Revolver will donate $1 from the $5 cover after 10 p.m. to benefit the charities.
 
“Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk at Red Rock Resort: On Sunday, October 25, Red Rock Resort will once again serve as the host site for American Cancer Society’s 5K “Making Strides against Breast Cancer” walk at 7:30 a.m. To sign up for the walk, please visit www.MakingStridesWalk.org/LasVegasNV.
 
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Cabo Wabo Cantina, located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, will be donating a portion of the proceeds from each Vojito cocktail purchase to Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada throughout the month of October.
The one-of-a-kind Vojito cocktail is made with Devotion Black and Blue vodka, fresh berries, fresh mint and lime juice, and is priced at just $13! Cabo Wabo will donate $1 from each Vojito sale, and will also give out commemorative pink “Cabo Wabo Cantina” bracelets to help raise awareness.
 
The medical teams and staff at all 14 Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada treatment centers and offices in the valley are going pink on the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month – donning pink scrubs, lab coats, clothing, etc. The “Pink Out” is a display of solidarity and awareness not only for CCCN patients, but also for all in S. Nevada who are battling breast cancer, survivors and in memory of those who have passed.
 
Doctor Auto holding event to benefit Susan G. Komen
 
Doctor Auto is doing its part to help breast cancer research and awareness. The shop at 3255 West Ann Road is hosting their second annual Driving Away Breast Cancer Car Show and fundraiser. Its happening on Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, soda, bake sale, t-shirts, pink bracelets and raffle tickets available for purchase. 100% of all proceeds will go to the Southern Nevada Affiliate of Susan G. Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is going pink this October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As part of the center’s Caring, Giving, Changing community campaign, the fountain will display a pink hue and all change tossed in will benefit the Southern Nevada Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
 
The fountain will remain pink through Oct. 31 in between regularly scheduled water shows, which take place every hour from noon to 11 p.m. Formed in 1996, the Southern Nevada Affiliate of Susan G. Komen is dedicated to combating breast cancer at every front. In 2014, the organization granted $507,860 for projects in the local community.
 
Kol Isha Concert
King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, in collaboration with the Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada and the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas, will host the 2nd Annual “Kol Isha – Women’s Voices Concert,” benefiting Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada. The 3 p.m. concert will bring together female voices from the Las Vegas Jewish community to raise funds during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The concert is open to the public and guests are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased in advance by visiting www.jccsn.org or at the door. “Pink Ribbon Sponsorship” with premium seating available. All proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada.
 

Brio Tuscan Grille (BRIO) at Tivoli Village invites the Las Vegas community to eat their favorite Italian dishes in support of Susan G. Komen of Southern Nevada. On Oct. 28 from 4-8 p.m., BRIO will contribute to the fight to find a cure by donating 20 percent of dine-in guests’ proceeds to fund research and promote breast cancer awareness.

Additionally, Oct. 4-29, diners can enjoy BRIO’s “The Art of Pasta” promotion in recognition of National Pasta Month. “The Art of Pasta” special offers guests selections from a prix fixe, three-course menu created by BRIO chefs from across the nation. For just $19.95, guests can enjoy their choice of salad, pasta and dessert, including dishes such as the Bistecca Insalata and Piccante Chicken Spaghetti.

 
 
The restaurant's "Love, Hope & Pizza" campaign will be through October. There will be a variety of different promotions including: serving pizza in pink boxes embellished with the National Breast Cancer Foundation logo and brownies decorated with a raspberry drizzle, selling pink bracelets and Love, Hope & Pizza t-shirts and offering free pizza coupons to those who share personal stories of strength of Hungry Howie’s customers via Facebook. The bulk of proceeds will go towards the National Breast Cancer Foundation in efforts to both raise support and funds for breast cancer awareness.
 
 
THINK PINK WITH REJUVENICE TO BENEFIT SUSAN G. KOMEN® OF SOUTHERN NEVADA THIS OCTOBER
