LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — United Way of Southern Nevada celebrates its 8th Annual NV Big Give on Thursday.
The day of giving kicked off with an event at inside Town Square Mall that started at 11 a.m.
The event included 13 Action News anchor Tricia Kean with special guests, State of Nevada First Lady Kathy Sisolak, Congresswoman Susie Lee, County Commissioner Michael Naft and Vegas Golden Knights mascot Chance.

Nevadans wishing to donate can do so through the official NV Big Give website, where a list of all participating charities can be found.
As of 4:15 p.m., event organizers said the event is trending ahead of last year with the community donating over $500,000 and thanked everyone for the support already seen.
