What’s New at Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition?

108 New Artifacts & Storytelling Video Screens
Earlier this year, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition introduced 108 new artifacts, including 20 never-before seen items, such as a chef’s baker hat, a first-class room chandelier, an alligator skin wallet and more. Additionally, the Exhibition has been enhanced since temporarily closing its doors this spring with the installation of new video screens throughout the venue, which depict real stories of the ship and its passengers and crew portrayed by costumed actors who bring the history of the world’s most famous ocean liner to life.

Student Research Projects Now on Display
This summer, Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition partnered with filmmaker James Cameron and the Los Angeles Unified School District to engage more than 750 students in a five-week program: The Unsinkable Titanic – The Ship of Dreams, Past, Present and Future. During the summer engagement series, students learned about Titanic from renowned historians, including Cameron, and participated in a virtual tour of the Titanic Vault, where artifacts reside while undergoing conservation. They also further studied the ship’s fateful history through Titanic: The Virtual Experience, which takes visitors on a virtual tour of the Las Vegas Exhibition. The summer program culminated in the creation of research and art projects, many of which are now on display in Las Vegas for a limited time.

What’s New at BODIES…The Exhibition?

For a limited time, BODIES…The Exhibition will feature new didactics that illustrate the effects of COVID-19 on the systems of the human body. Visitors will have the opportunity to further understand the workings of the virus that has been so widely discussed and debated this year as well as how it affects more than just the respiratory system.
