Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada served 1,500 meals on Christmas Day to the homeless and others.

More than 125 volunteers helped prepare a meal that included stuffed loin of pork with linguica bread stuffing, twice-baked potato, broccoli polonaise, fresh baked biscuits, ricotta pie with espresso anglaise sauce and bottled water.

The Catholic Charities St. Vincent Lied Dining Facility has been serving meals to the community's homeless and vulnerable men, women and children since 1965.
