The Nevada State Bank, part of the Zions Bancorporation, was recognized with 31 Greenwich Excellence Awards for 2015, the highest number of awards won by any bank in the United States. The survey is conducted by Greenwich Associates for excellence among the nation's top banks for both small business and middle-market banking.

The awards are based on more than 28,000 market research interviews with companies across the United States. Out of the 600 banks evaluated, 31 were cited for distinctive quality in middle market banking, and 34 were given awards in small business banking.

“Small and mid-sized companies help drive the entire Nevada economy,” said Terry Shirey, president and COO of Nevada State Bank. “The Greenwich awards tell us that we are doing the right things to help our business clients succeed and prosper.”

Harris H. Simmons, chairman and CEO of Zions Bancorporation, said that the organization was "extremely honored" by the recognition. He attributed the awards to the work of all Nevada State bankers, with particular distinction given to cash management professionals.
