Every member of Teddi and the Northern Lights, a local indie-pop band from Las Vegas, is an accomplished musician in their own way.

Vocalist/guitar player Teddi Tarnoff is a classically trained opera singer. Drummer Jeremy Strawn teaches drumline at Coronado High School. Will McLean has played bass for about 15 years for various groups, and guitarist Erik Carlsson has toured with bands featured in Warped Tour and Ozzfest.

The four have also worked at the School of Rock near Flamingo and Fort Apache roads, and most continue to teach there. Teddi herself works as the school's Director, and Erik acts as its Music Director.

"At the end of the day, we're all just as passionate about performing as we are about teaching," said Teddi. "It's all part of the same musical experience for us and the passion that we have for music overall."

Teddi and the Northern Lights released their second EP this year called "Mother Mercury." You can listen to it on their website, or on streaming services like Spotify and iTunes.
