LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A Las Vegas-area hospital welcomed its first bundle of joy of 2021 just after the clock struck midnight on Friday.

A spokesperson for Sunrise Health System reports MountainView Hospital delivered Avaya Rose Villela at 12:03 a.m. on Jan. 1.

The Villela family welcomed their first child with Avaya weighing 5 pounds, 5 ounces and 18 1/4 inches long.

The family is doing well and enjoying their new addition in the new year, according to the hospital spokesperson.

Sunrise Health System advises all patients to stay connected in questions of care amid the pandemic.
