LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas Ballpark is hosting a batting practice for Girl Scouts on Thursday and baseball stars Kris Bryant and Amir Garrett will be at the event.
Kris Bryant is a native Las Vegan and third baseman and outfielder for the Chicago Cubs. Amir Garrett is the Cincinnati Reds pitcher.
The event is free and open to public viewing. Gates open at 9 a.m.
The list of participating pitchers includes: Paul Sewald, New York Mets; Jake Faria, Milwaukee Brewers; Chasen Shreve, New York Mets; Taylor Cole, Los Angeles Angels; Ricky Knapp, Los Angeles Dodgers; and free agents Sam Pastrone and JD Martin.
The list of participating hitters includes: Joey Rickard, San Francisco Giants; Drew Robinson, San Francisco Giants; Chris Carter, Monclova (Mexican Professional League); and free agents Cody Clark, Johnny Field and Jake Hager.
Also worth nothing, Girl Scouts cookie season begins February 14.
