Make-A-Wish of Southern Nevada had quite the surprise Sunday for a local teen.
18-year-old Efrain Jurardo-Montes, a recent graduate of Mojave High School, has been diagnosed with a germ cell tumor. He had been a goalie for his school's soccer team and wanted to travel to Spain to see his favorite soccer team play.
Juardo thought he was going to play a FIFA video game soccer tournament with his friends at GameWorks when he was greeted by Make-A-Wish volunteers, who announced that his wish was becoming a reality.
"They left me speechless," Jurardo-Montes said. "I don't know what to say."
Jurardo-Montes and his family will head to Madrid, Spain in less than two weeks to see the team play and spend a week in the country.
