LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — On Dec. 15 and 21, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Foundation and IKEA USA will furnish the homes of three deserving families impacted by COVID-19.

“Our community is facing unprecedented challenges, we recognize the role we can play in helping families during this difficult time. At IKEA, we are guided by a simple, yet powerful vision of creating a better every day life for the many. This is especially important during the holidays,” said IKEA’s Las Vegas Loyalty Manager Christina Hilborn.

The LVMPD Foundation has received a community grant from IKEA, and with this grant, they will provide home furnishing makeovers to the three local families nominated.

In addition, the Foundation furthers its commitment to community engagement programs, having already made over $140,000 in such investments this holiday season.

LVMPD Foundation and IKEA representatives are working together at the family’s homes when the delivery truck with the new furniture arrives.
