A student at The Meadows School has been chosen to be one of 24 Kid Reporters for the Scholastic News Kids Press Corps.
8th grader Alexander Wong was chosen from more than 300 students from across the country to join the team. Applicants were asked to submit a news report about their local community, ideas for future stories, and a personal essay explaining why he or she wanted to be a Kid Reporter.
Last year, another Meadows eighth grader was chosen for this honor. Chloe Nguyen reported on the Democratic
Debates that were held here in October 2015.
The Scholastic News Kids Press Corps has delivered “news for kids, by kids” for more than 16 years. Junior journalists cover everything from breaking news to entertainment and sporting stories.
