LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A local grade-school student is making headlines with her appearances on local and national television.

Sligar has already put her acting skills to the test with commercial gigs like a spot in a recent Health Plan of Nevada ad and auditions for Beverly Hills-based Entertainment Lab.

Now, she gets to play the role of herself on Nov. 17.

"Kids Say the Darndest Things" has returned to TV this year with host Tiffany Haddish and Sunday's episode will be No. 7 of the season.

The series has been revived after it ended its run back in 2000 with Bill Cosby as the host from 1998.

Sunday's episode airs at 8 p.m., and Sligar and her family will be having a viewing party starting at 7:30 p.m. at Happy Earth Market located at 900 Karen Avenue, near Maryland Parkway.
