The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District continues its partnership in literacy with the Vegas Golden Knights with the launch of the team’s 2021 bookmark series beginning Feb. 10.

Spotlighting one player each month during the season, the bookmarks provide local hockey fans with little known facts about players’ favorite books, movies and music.

First in the line-up is superstar goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, with a surprise new player announced each month through June. The bookmark designs feature the player’s team photo, the Vegas Golden Knights’ dynamic black and gold colors, and their official team slogan, “Vegas Born,” featured prominently on the front.

The first bookmark, featuring Fleury, will be available in all 25 Library District branches, which are located across the valley.

Vegas Golden Knights free collectible bookmarks will also be available at The Arsenal Pro Shop inside City National Arena and at the City National Arena front desk.

In addition to the bookmarks, Vegas Golden Knights fans can learn even more about the spotlighted players in the team mascot’s exclusive blog, “Chance’s Chat” on the Library District’s website. Each month, Chance will sit down for a Q&A with the players, and in the February blog, you will learn Fleury’s favorite movie character and his favorite musical artists.

Besides collecting all of the VGK Library District bookmarks, fans can also show their hockey pride by signing up for the Vegas Golden Knights “Vegas Born” Library Card.

All that is needed to sign up for a library card at your nearest branch is a photo I.D. and proof of address (a current driver’s license will work). You can also sign up for an instant access eCard here.

Current cardholders who wish to swap their existing library card for a Vegas Golden Knights card may also do so at their nearest Library District branch.

Fans can also check out “Chance’s Chat,” a special blog on the Library District website to learn even more.
