LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Lee Canyon is extending its winter season through April 14.

The resort was slated to close on April 7 but says it saw the biggest snow year in nearly a decade, receiving 214 inches of snow.

During the extended week, from April 8-14, season passes will be honored and day lift tickets will be available for $39.

Information on passes and pricing for next season can be found online here.

Lee Canyon will celebrate its last day with closing festivities on April 14.

Visitors can expect giveaways, live music, and a pond skim competition where participants will be judged on costumes, splash, and crowd reaction.

The competition starts at 11 a.m. and awards are at 3 p.m. and prizes include an All-Access 2019/20 season pass.

Skiers and snowboarders must have a season pass or single-day lift ticket to participate in the competition.
