Skye Canyon is celebrating Earth Day differently this year with a "socially-distant yet fun" sidewalk chalk challenge that includes cash prizes.
The Las Vegas valley neighborhood is hosting a "Chalk for Earth" event with a $100 grand prize.
Prizes, according to the neighborhood's website, include:

🔹 Adult Solo Contest – 1 Winner, $100 Prize
Solo adults who wish to participate in the #ChalkForEarth challenge will be entered into a separate category, where the winner will be decided by public vote on 4/24 and awarded $100 to First Place. Please indicate if you are a Solo Adult Artist in the caption of your submission.

You can pick up free chalk in front of Skye Center on 10111 W Skye Canyon Park Drive from noon to 2 p.m.
Upload a photo of your creation to Facebook or Instagram on Earth Day, April, and to make your entry official, the neighborhood says to use the hashtag #ChalkForEarth.
