Las Vegas to participate in National ‘Red Alert RESTART’ happenings

Las Vegas will be presenting a series of local happenings in support the National Red Alert RESTART event. on Sept. 1.

The date is when buildings, structures, and residences will be lit in red from 9 p.m. until midnight (local time) as the RESTART event rolls across North America with the goal of raising public awareness that the Live Events Industry is on Red Alert for its very survival.

Since the industry shut down due to COVID-19, thousands of events have been canceled and 77% of the people in the Live Events Industry have lost 100% of their income.

A list of local places are listed below:

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts- Fireworks display at 10 p.m.

- The Smith Center Bell Tower will be lit in red in support

- Truss Garden Art installation in Symphony Park (install at 8 p.m.)

- Road Case Push around Symphony Park will take place at 9 p.m.

The Plaza Hotel Las Vegas – fireworks display at 10 p.m.

- Pyrotech with special guests Angelina Puzanova and Show Talent Productions

Fremont Street

- Fremont Street will display custom content on their canopy from 9 p.m. until midnight

- Each of Fremont Street’s three stages will display a single road case with the Red Alert / #We

Thomas & Mack Center

- The Thomas & Mack Center will display a 48 laser light show.
