The Las Vegas Monorail is reminding the public about the $1 locals’ rate, giving locals an affordable way to get to various holiday activities around the Strip.

Riders can start at the SLS Las Vegas —where parking is free — and continue with stops at any of the stations along the way.

Activities and offers at the Monorail's seven stations include:

SLS Las Vegas - Show a Nevada ID for the "Secret Locals Menu" at the Northside Café and Chinese Kitchen and fill up with breakfast or lunch before you board the Monorail.

Westgate Resort & Casino - The Westgate's Serenity Day Spa is featuring Spa-Liday: 12 Days of Spa Specials through Dec. 24. Each day features a different complimentary service, deep discount or other offer.

Las Vegas Convention Center - Through Dec. 15, visit this free Western apparel and gift extravaganza featuring more than 300 exhibitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Harrah's Las Vegas/The LINQ Promenade - See The LINQ Promenade's transformation into a magical winter wonderland. Live performances by carolers or the whimsical 'Twas the Night Before Christmas dancers take place daily at the top of each hour from 6 p.m. to 9 pm. In addition, locals can enjoy $5 off ticket prices for the brand-new FLY LINQ, the only zipline on the Las Vegas Strip.

Flamingo Las Vegas/Caesars Palace - Take younger houseguests or family members to the Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo Las Vegas.

Bally's Las Vegas/Paris Las Vegas- Nevada residents always receive 50 percent off admission to the Eiffel Tower Viewing Deck at Paris Las Vegas. Family package specials are also available.

MGM Grand - Try out Virtual Reality at MGM Grand. Virtual Reality Powered by Zero Latency at MGM Grand is open to adults, as well as older children ages 13 and older.

Locals can purchase $1 single-ride Monorail tickets at customer service booths located at every station (except the Las Vegas Convention Center station) with proof of Nevada ID.
