The first-ever Jingle Jam welcomed families from across the Las Vegas valley for a Christmas celebration on Saturday, Dec. 19, with more than 200 toys and gifts given away, including 20 bikes.

The event was sponsored and produced by event services company Norton National, owned by Las Vegas local McCall Norton Peck, and hosted at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Pennwood Avenue.

Families were hand-picked and invited by local church and assistance services. The event featured photos with Santa, decorating ornaments and candy canes, getting their faces painted and enjoying holiday carols performed by high school students, plus special holiday cheer routines performed by Fox Cheer Academy cheerleaders.

Each child in attendance received at least one wrapped present. Parents received a gift bag of products donated by Johnson & Johnson.

Sponsors and donors included Norton Realty Group, Johnson & Johnson, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Oasis Reporting Services, Las Vegas OBGYN Women’s Care, Combate Americas, Freedom Towing, Sagos Tavern, Kilroys Tavern, Nurses of Southern Nevada, Freedom Mortgage, Creative Kids, All Nevada Insurance, Flury Photography, Metro PCS, Outlaw Brothers Entertainment, V2 Events and other private donors.

In addition, 75 people volunteered their time to assist with wrapping presents, setting up the venue and providing entertainment.
