LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Students at Merryhill Preschool on Green Valley Parkway in Henderson recently gave back to the community for the holiday season by donating food and toys to those in need.
Students and their families participated in a food drive and donated over 150 food items to LV Church Green Valley, a local organization that distributes food to the local community during the holidays each year.
In addition, students collected over 50 toys and gifts to be distributed to children of all ages through the Toys for Tots Nevada program. Toys for Tots, a 70-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each holiday season.
Through these initiatives, students learned the value of spreading kindness and helping others.
