Henderson Animal Shelter offering adoption discounts during spring event

HENDERSON (KTNV) — The City of Henderson will be offering discounted adoption fees at its animal shelter.

The shelter is cutting fees in half on Saturday to help get more animals into homes during a "Spring Into Adoptions" event.

This is the second year, Henderson's Animal Care and Control Facility will offer adoption fees at a 50 percent discount.

All cat, dog and rabbit adoptions will be half price, with an additional 50 percent discount for Henderson residents (with a driver’s license or other state-issued ID).

The shelter is located at 300 E. Galleria Drive and will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Guests must have their new furry friend selected before 4:00 p.m., according to an event spokesperson.

-Cats/kittens (regularly $80): $20 for Henderson residents; $40 for non-residents
-Dogs/puppies (regularly $90): $22.50 for Henderson residents; $45 for non-residents
-Rabbits (regularly $35): $8.75 for Henderson residents; $17.50 for non-residents

Adoption costs include routine vaccines, spay or neuter surgery if not already done, microchip ID and registration, and rabies tag or Henderson license (depending on where you live).
