Nearly 70 teams competed in the 8th Annual Rose Regatta Dragon Boat Race on Oct. 8. The event raised over $125,000 to provide medical care and support for uninsured women and men facing breast cancer.
13 Action News Meteorologist Greg Bennett and his team took first place in the event, beating out other teams from Nevada, California, Arizona, Washington, Colorado, and Canada.
The event was hosted by Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican and proceeds of the program benefited its R.E.D. Rose Program for breast cancer patients.
