Local pedestrian safety coalition Look Out Kids About teamed up with Land Rover Las Vegas, Clark County School District Police and other organizations to hold an event which not only gave away free helmets to kids but also teach them how to properly put them on and general safety guidelines while walking and riding their bikes.
Local BMX rider Ricardo Laguna was also be on hand and the event will feature free entertainment.
"It's a new year and we want to start things off right to teach the kids and the community about pedestrian safety," says Robin Munier, President of Look Out Kids About. "We're midway through the school year and we want the children and our community at large to remain alert and vigilant when it comes to pedestrian and bike safety."
