LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Partying like a superhero was the goal Saturday night at a ball benefiting kids who need help the most in the Las Vegas valley.

The Heroes and Villains Ball benefited Critical Care Comics, a local nonprofit that delivers comics to area hospitals, and cancer treatment centers while dressed as superheroes.

They also visit homeless children in the area.

“Even it’s only 28 pages worth, we make sure you have a fat stack of comments work to help keep you happy,” says Richard Tango.

Tango is a childhood cancer survivor himself, and knows all to well how far a small gesture can go.

“I remember what it was like being sick and having nothing to do and not knowing what joy was going to come next,” says Tango.

Critical care will be dropping off comic books to local kids in just a few days on Thanksgiving.
