LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Some local students now have access to a fully functional emergency vehicle.

The EMT students at Pinecrest Academy got their own ambulance thanks to the Pinecrest Foundation and a grant.

9th and 10th-grade students will have full access to the ambulance as part of their curriculum.

The school says in light of the pandemic "it is essential to create a strong pipeline for students interested in the health science fields."
