The first Lego League Robotics State Championship was held Saturday at the West Career and Technical Academy.
32 teams from around Southern Nevada competed in a series of challenges, all designed to test their critical thinking and engineering skills.
Students spent the past 12 weeks designing robots out of Legos to get ready for the championship, which eventually went to Jo Mackey Academy.
