The Nevada State Treasurer’s Office is accepting applications for the Kenny C. Guinn Memorial Scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded each year to two Nevada students pursuing a degree in elementary or secondary education, with intentions of teaching in Nevada.
Applications will be accepted until midnight April 1 for the Fall 2016 semester. In order to qualify, students must be entering into their last year of college with 90 or more credits completed, pursuing a degree in education and commit to teach in Nevada upon graduation.
There will be two scholarships awarded, one in Northern and Southern Nevada. Each scholarship recipient will receive a $4,500 award to pay the educational expenses for the next school year.
