An 85-year-old man is among the UNLV students who will be graduating Saturday.
John Brennan double majored in performance and film with a minor in theater. He says going back to school helped him cope with the loss of his wife of 45 years.
"I think that she would be happy that I went forward and did something," he said of his wife, who he met when he was a lounge singer and she was a showgirl.
Brennan is the oldest in his class while the youngest graduate is 19 years old.
More than 2,800 students from 33 states and 50 countries are walking in graduation Saturday with ceremonies at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Thomas and Mack. There are 11 percent more graduates this year compared to 2016.
