Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman kicked off the first night of Hanukkah by hosting the Grand Menorah lighting ceremony in downtown Las Vegas.

The menorah was lit at sundown Sunday at Fremont and Fourth streets and a new candle will be lit for every one of the eight nights of Hanukkah. The ceremony was led by Rabbi Shea Harlig, director of Chabad of Southern Nevada, and also featured performances by the Dancing Dreidels and Circus VArgas.

The Grand Menorah will be on display at Fremont Street during the holidays.
