Las Vegas-based band The Killers will play the first show at the new Las Vegas Arena in April.
The Killers announced on Twitter Monday morning that they will perform on April 6 along with "Mr. Las Vegas" Wayne Newton and local performer Shamir.

Various other artists, including George Strait, Garth Brooks and the Dixie Chicks, have announced shows at the new arena next spring and summer.
