The Springs Preserve hosts its annual Día del Niño -- “Children's Day” -- event Saturday.

Celebrated worldwide at various times throughout the year, notably in countries such as Mexico, Día del Niño is all about the little ones. The Springs Preserve event will be from noon to 5 p.m.

The family-friendly celebration will feature an exhibit of art by Latino artists, as well as art workshops, cooking demonstrations, and live music and entertainment on two stages. A petting zoo and face painting, along with magicians and plenty of great food, also are planned.

Admission is $6 with children ages 2 and under are free. Advance tickets can be bought at the Springs Preserve office or at springspreserve.org.

The Springs Preserve Día del Niño event is made possible in part by Station Casinos, Smith’s Food & Drug and Telemundo.
