For people looking for a little more heat Saturday, the Silverton hotel-casino held its second annual Ribfest.
The winner for best ribs will home $3,000. There will also be a people's choice award voted on by the public.
Festival goers could sample barbecue while enjoying live entertainment. There was also a kids zone.
A portion of ticket and sample sales will benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.
