LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The iconic Randy’s Donuts is coming to Las Vegas.

The first Nevada location will be near Blue Diamond Road and Decatur Boulevard in the southwest part of the valley.

NEW: Randy's Donuts announces plans for 7 Las Vegas locations

The new location will be 1,500 square feet and will have a drive-thru, according to documents filed with the Clark County Planning Commission. It will also have a giant sign shaped like a donut that will read "Randy’s Donuts."

Even if you have never been to Randy’s Donuts, you have probably seen it in a movie.

The popular donut chain has been featured in “Earth Girls Are Easy,” “Mars Attacks!,” “The Golden Child,” “Wayne’s World,” “Coming to America,” “Problem Child 2,” “Iron Man 2,” “Crocodile Dundee in L.A.” and others.

The original location, built in 1953, is in Inglewood, California, near Los Angeles International Airport.

A spokesperson with the donut chain says handmade donuts at Randy's are never frozen and are made fresh every day. Varieties include the classics – glazed, devil's food, and chocolate raised, deluxe – crullers, buttermilk and old fashioned, fancy – apple fritter, jelly-filled and much more.

Randy's Donuts also offers delivery, catering and a full-service coffee program in addition to other beverages.

Randy’s Donuts announced in 2019 that it was gearing up for nationwide expansion.

At the time, the president of Randy’s Donuts said:

"From our contribution to pop culture to our mission to give back to the community, Randy's sits in an enviable and unique position in the donut world. We are ecstatic to now launch the franchise opportunity and bring Randy's to cities across the nation," said Mark Kelegian. "While gourmet and other local shops have popped up to cash in on donuts' demand, no one else offers the breadth of 50 varieties of handmade, proprietary choices, catering to cost-conscious and indulgent donut lovers.”
